The host family was so thoughtful in what they prepared for our group to have it be culturally diverse to Ecuador while keeping it not overwhelming. Our host family even shared the kitchen and taught our group how to make empanadas! The local company we traveled with and arranged some group meals was also thoughtful in bringing us to local spots to really get an immersive experience! Jorge was very mindful of the dietary restrictions and managed our large group with the restaurants in a very efficient manner.
I absolutely loved the service work we were able to engage in! We worked with a local clinic in a lower income neighborhood elementary school to provide wellness check ups.
The best part of the trip was learning about a new culture. I really enjoyed being able to see a different part of the world and explore their culture.
The service work with the kids was an amazing experience and unforgettable. All of the cultural explorations and experiences arranged for our group were amazing and felt like I learned so much while also having a ton of fun, especially when we visited the Cloud Forest and the Tsachilas tribe. Staying with the host family was also an experience I wasn’t expecting to be as great as it was - truly felt like I gained more family in my circle.
